Vulnerable but Strong - Welcome to my life

I'm Black Iris (as far as you know) I'll talk about my life here. Just like an online journal. Join in (if you dare) XD

I'm a faithful Christian, I want to travel around the world one day My favourite website is: www.mylifeisaverage.com , it's very funny. I know that life is no coincidence, nothing is a coincidence. I love watching dramas even though some situations are obvious, on how they end. I very, very hard to impress, so if you do impress me, you did a very great job. I love singing and being a behind the scenes person.I don't want to be in the magic, I want to make the magic.

Tron: Legacy

I watched Tron on Monday and it wasn't that bad. It's an original movie with great graphics and good meaning to it.

I enjoyed it and was maybe a bit confused at first but after I got the situation and the movie wasn't that bad. My friend though didn't get any of it and said the movie was boring. She was also asking me questions throughout the movie which is very annoying. I answered as politely as possible.
Tip: If you don't get the movie don't keep asking the person beside you questions. Ask when you feel you're on a part of the movie where it's calm or not important.
Spoiler Alert!
DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET!
At the end of the movie where Sam's dad sacrificed himself for Sam, so that Sam could go through the portle and back to reality was very touching and it reminded me of how Jesus sacrificed himself for us and placed himself on the cross for our sins.

Christmas

I spent my Christmas, yesterday with my family and friends. It's boxing day today and I didn't go to the mall because I know there's going to be loads of people there and I don't have much I want to buy.
I'm starting to bring my camera everywhere I go so I could capture as much things as possible and maybe get some good ideas for videos. This is a great way to prepare myself to be a film director when I grow up. Maybe my videos won't be as good as WongFu Productions but as long as I have fun making them.
My friend told me to start off with photography first because photography is about capturing things in the right angle. So I took her advice and started taking pictures in different angles that I believe is right.
Here are some recent pictures I took that I tried to take as professional as possible:

I hope you like them =)

My past December

My winter break has just started and there's nothing to do and the week is almost done. I hope you guys are all having a great Christmas break and spending it with your family. I've just became a recent fan of Wong fu Productions and is addicted to their videos and movies. They are a mini company with only three guys working behind the scence to make fantastic, funny and entertaining videos for their fans. Their videos are also realistic and about, sometimes real life situations. So that's one thing I've been up to . I've also celebrated my friend's birthday which was on the 20th. We went bowling then went to the mall to hang out. wongfu productions' people
Wes Phil Ted

I've also came up with an idea on a video I want to shoot but I don't know how to do it. I want to become a film director when I grow up so this thought has been in my head for quite a while. I hope I'll be a ble to do it. Merry Christmas and if you don't get a lot of gifts don't sweat! Christmas is about GIVING not getting.

p.s. just done watching the movie Easy A. gives a lesson .

Losing a perfectly organized Agenda

I have losted my agenda in school. I lost saw it at drama class and I'm like, oh no worries I'll just go for it after school.
Figures! I go to my drama classroom and it was gone! Disappear! POOF.
I was and still is upset about loosing it. It has all my homework, plans and my SAC (Student Activity Card) in it. I feel so disorganized now. It took me so long to personlize it and now it's ... gone =(

I hope I find it soon and who ever took it or finds it will give it in to the office. I NEED IT !

I went to the office and asked if they saw my agenda the secratary said no and offered to give me a new one. How can she just offer to give me a new one and expect me to forget about my old one. I'm just thinking about my agenda and how it might be all alone, in the dark , waiting for me ......

Anyways I got a new one and um ... I'm trying to get a long with it. and ... I have put my name in it.

I WANT MY AGENDA.

Math Tastes Like A Rock

I said that math tastes like a rock because it's hard. =) Get it?

It's actually not that hard but with my teacher it is. I'll explain.
She'll make a simple question look as if it's rocket science but she doesn't confuse me because I have tutor. For the others they don't really get it and she told them that they need to study more.

Ms. Jovicic (Russian accent): You have to study 5 hours everyday, for each and every subject (she was serious)

Yifan (my friend): What? Who has time to study 5 hours?

Ms. Jovicic: Study on the weekends

Yifan: But there's 8 subjects. Look, 5 times 8 is 40 . THAT'S MORE THAN 1 DAY OF STRAIGHT STUDYING! WE NEED TO GO TO SLEEP. We only have 4 hours to sleep.

Ms. Jovicic: Oh, 4 hours is enough time.

Class: NO! What?

I still don't know if she was serious or if she was joking because she looked really serious.
She came to Canada at about 12 years old and didn't know any English so everyday after school when she's doing her homework she'll first translate all her work and study till midnight. Wow. Tough eh? But worth it.

My little random days ...

Pencil, A Colour?

I don't think so either. But according to a really weired classmate, it is. He was arguing for the whole Geo class, saying that pencil is a colour. I had to explain to him that it is not a colour because pencil is a verb (a person, place , or thing. In this case a thing) and that colour is a adjective. I thought he'll get it after that but apparently not. My friends and I didn't bother, farther explaining it to him because we knew it was no use. He said, "I'll keep fighting - pencil is a colour for the rest of my life, if I have to!" Tell me if you think pencil is a colour.

Have the time?

My food and nuitrition teacher is pretty strict and gets really upset when people don't do their homework. Most of the people's excuses were,"I don't have the time." Her response: "It's not that you don't have the time, you don't make the time." Makes sense eh?

P.S. Have a great Christmas. It's going to be -13 degrees tomorrow =\ a bit cold but at least I'm taking the bus.

Pom appétit!

I'm doing a project on pomegranates at school for Food & Nuitrition so my mom bought me a pomegranate to try. My dad and I opened it up to find it full of arils. We got a spoon and smacked it silly till the arils fell out. We took some and ate it. It was abit sour and abit sweet. The arils were hard in the middle so it was like eating seeds. My dad said it's bad for your digestive system so we sucked the juice from the arils and spit out the hard stuff in the middle. I really prefer dragon fruit (I know so Asian). -_-

So my dad and I decided that we never want to buy it again unless it's a bottle of POM juice.

The pomegranate opened.

The arils in the pomegranate. You see the white center? That's the seed inside the aril.

SNOW SNOW SNOW!!!

I was suppose to announce this two days ago when the first, real snow fall came to Toronto! It was so beautiful and I hope the snow keeps coming. Thank the LORD for a snowy winter. I though there would be no snow this year because of all the global warming, that reminds me *gets up to close hallway lights*. I hope all of you guys are going green too. I know that Leonardo DiCaprio is. He has a hybrid car, solar powered house and ... other green stuff I suppose.

It was in math class today that my friend pointed out that there was a soft snowfall outside and it was mismerizing (is that how you spell it?). That reminds me of when I was younger and in elementary school. When ever the first snow fall came the whole class would rush up to the window and yell, "IT'S SNOWING, IT'S SNOWING!" We would get to excited and when recess came we would run out and stick our tongues out to catch snow flakes. But we don't have recess now and we no longer rush to the window when it snows but we still manage to mumble, in awe , "Hey, it's snowing." I hope all of you are gonna have a great Christmas Holiday. Spend it with your family and friends. I would be!
My church is holding a Christmas dinner and I volunteered help out and it's going to be great.

P.S. My fave song right now is Hallelujah =) So good. I like the one sang by Kate Voegele.

P.S.S. I totally forgot to wish everyone Kalo Mina! Which is Greek for happy month . It was yesterday.
